At SALT Physio & Rehab, we provide mobile
physiotherapy on the Sunshine Coast, delivering
expert care to seniors in their homes or aged care
facilities. Our goal is to improve quality of life
through convenient, personalised treatment.
About Me
Hi I’m Alix Carpenter. As a mobile physiotherapist based on the Sunshine Coast, I’m passionate about helping older adults overcome challenges and achieve their goals through a holistic and personalized approach.
My journey into physiotherapy began after a life-changing motor vehicle accident in my late teens, where I discovered not only recovery but also my calling to help others. Originally from the breathtaking landscapes of Whistler, Canada, I now draw inspiration from the Sunshine Coast’s natural beauty, which fuels my love for hiking, scuba diving, and exploring different cultures.
I bring energy, care, and a sense of fun to every session, ensuring my clients feel supported and empowered to live their best lives, whether tackling serious rehab goals or sharing a laugh during progress milestones.

Physiotherapy Philosophy
At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing is a journey best taken together. As a mobile physiotherapist on the Sunshine Coast, I bring expert care directly to your home, making it easier to prioritize your health. Whether improving mobility, managing chronic conditions, or building strength, my approach combines expertise, empathy, and education to empower you to understand your body and take charge of your wellbeing.
I specialize in working with the aging population, where small changes can significantly improve quality of life, from enhancing balance and reducing the risk of falls to managing osteoarthritis or recovering from surgery.

Testimonial
Alix’s expertise and dedication helped my dad regain his mobility after his total hip replacement. With her personalized approach and encouragement, he went from struggling to take a few steps to walking confidently again. We are incredibly grateful for the care and support she provided throughout his recovery.
The Williams Family
Alix has been a godsend for our family. She started seeing my mum after a fall, and not only helped her physically but also emotionally. Her visits became the highlight of Mum’s week. She’s kind, professional, and truly understands how to work with seniors.
Rebecca J.,Buderim
After my knee surgery, I was nervous about getting back on my feet. Alix made the process so much easier. She came to my home, brought everything she needed, and tailored each session to how I was feeling. I’m walking pain-free now. I can’t thank her enough
Janet M.,Noosa
We booked Alix for post-op rehab for my grandma and ended up continuing long after she recovered. The convenience of having someone come to the house is huge, but it’s Alix’s positivity and skill that keep us coming back
The Harris Family, Sunshine Coast Hinterland
Alix’s approach is refreshingly different. She doesn’t just go through the motions – she listens, adapts, and encourages. I’ve made more progress in two months than I did in the last year with clinic-based physio.
