About Us

Hi, I’m Alix Carpenter, a physiotherapist with a passion for helping people overcome challenges and live their best lives. My journey into this field began after a life-changing motor vehicle accident in my late teens. Through years of physiotherapy, I found not only recovery but also my calling.

Originally from Whistler, Canada, I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors and the beauty of nature. Now living on the Sunshine Coast, I love exploring my surroundings through hiking, scuba diving, and traveling to experience different cultures. These experiences fuel my holistic approach to life and work.

One of my favorite parts of being a physiotherapist is the genuine connection I share with my clients. Every session is unique, and I thrive on the variety of treatments I can draw from to help each person feel better. Whether we’re tackling serious rehab goals or celebrating progress with a laugh, I bring energy, care, and a sense of fun to every interaction. Seeing my clients achieve their goals—and having a great time doing it—is what inspires me every day.

When I’m not working, you can find me in the water, on a trail, or spending quality time with my husband, Cache who’s an incredibly talented massage therapist at The Body Carpenter Massage Therapy (link his website here). Whether in my personal life or professional practice, I’m passionate about inspiring health, wellness, and a sense of adventure in everything I do.

My Physiotherapy Philosophy

At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing is a journey best taken together.
As a mobile physiotherapist serving the Sunshine Coast, I bring expert care directly to your home, making it easier and more convenient to prioritize your health. Whether it’s improving mobility, managing chronic conditions, or building strength, my approach combines expertise, empathy, and education.

My goal is not just to help you recover but to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to understand your body and take charge of your wellbeing. Having been through my own extensive rehabilitation journey after a serious motor vehicle accident, I deeply understand the challenges of overcoming injury, pain, and loss of function. This personal experience has given me a unique perspective and fuels my commitment to helping others achieve their goals.

I focus on uncovering the root cause of issues, developing tailored rehabilitation plans, and fostering open communication every step of the way. For me, recovery is about more than just the physical body—it’s about building resilience, restoring independence, and rekindling hope.
I have a special interest in working with the aging population, where small changes can make a big difference in quality of life. From improving balance and reducing the risk of falls to managing osteoarthritis or recovering from surgery, I’m passionate about helping older adults stay active, independent, and engaged in the things they love.

As a mobile physiotherapist, I take pride in providing personalized care in the comfort of your own home. I believe that understanding your unique needs and goals is key to creating effective treatment plans that deliver real results. Along the way, we’ll celebrate progress, embrace challenges, and even share a laugh or two—because I truly believe recovery should be a positive and empowering experience.
Let’s work together to unlock your potential for a healthier, more vibrant life—right where you need it most!
